Assuming no flesh compartments in my legs explode this weekend I’ll be taking my new Salomon Advanced Skin 12Lutterly futuristic trail running pack for a hit-out.
It’s been specially released for UTMB but I don’t think I’ll be anywhere near thin air or 9,400m of elevation gain this weekend – other than by reading the iRunFar Twitterfeed or visiting the live TNF UTMB event site.
So, not enough of a run for a full review, and I think the only other Australian currently in possession of one of these has dibs on that anyway, but probably good enough for a first impression and the start of some troubleshooting. From what I hear though, it’s already been thoroughly troubleshot, via Salomon’s rigorous testing, consulting, improving, retesting and testing again process.
Can’t wait to try it actually. It’s been hanging there teasing me for the last week while I’ve been in structural rehab.
